Halloween Party in Gyumri American Corner

On October 31st American Corner Gyumri in partnership with U.S. Embassy organized Halloween party. Many guests were invited. Among them PC volunteers, children of ”Deghcanik” song group and visitors of American Corner Gyumri. Everybody հas brought some sweets and candies and coordinator of American Corner had made a pumpkin shaped cake. Everybody was very happy to celebrate Halloween. Which people used to call “All Hallows’ Evening”. Children from “Deghcanik” song group as a present to American Corner Gyumri have prepared a show, which included songs and poems about Halloween. After the show everybody watched the Halloween presentation prepared by American Corner Coordinator Lusine Nazaryan. Presentation included some information from the history of Halloween holiday, its origin and customs. After presentation a pumpkin curving ceremony took place. PC volunteer Darryn Glenn curved the pumpkin and children were singing a “Pumpkin Curving” song. Then Darryn from the curved pumpkin made a Jack-o`-Lantern. PC volunteer John Kelly told children about “Trick or Treat” game. Then children played Halloween games with Marisa Valdes. PC volunteer Michel Braz played the piano. He accompanied to the singing volunteers. During the whole party children and grownups were smiling happily and their shining smile proved that Halloween party in American Corner Gyumri was succeeded.
