Public lecture in Gyumri “U.S. National Parks”

On December 14th,2011 American Corner Gyumri hosted U. S. English language fellow Ellen Gallagher with the topic “U.S. National Parks”.
At the beginning of the lecture IRC director Nerses Hayrapetyan introduced Ellen speaking about her background and education.
Ellen Gallagher has prepared a presentation about different National parks in U.S. At first she spoke about emblem of all the National parks in U.S. and gave its detailed description. Then she spoke about Yellowstone National park. Ellen could easily transfer the presents into the Yellowstone National park , so as everybody could admire the beauty of the unique nature of the park. Ellen spoke about numerous recreational opportunities that one could find inYellowstone including hiking, camping, boating, fishing and sightseeing. She also spoke about the geyser of the Yellowstone, which is the most popular geyser in the world. Then she easily transferred everybody into National park Grand Teton. She gave description of the geology, trees, mammals and birds in Grand Teton.
After Grand Teton she introduced the presents National park Grand Canyon, Niagara falls, Red Wood and other examples of National Heritage Area. At the end of the lecture some pupils of Lord Byron scհool showed their presentation about United States of America.
“U.S. National parks” topic was very informative and gave opportunity to English language fellows in Gyumri to enjoy the perfect beauty of U.S. National parks.
