Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program Presentation in Gyumri
3:00pm 22.03.2012
On March 22nd, Gyumri American Corner together with the U.S. Embassy Yerevan Public Affairs Section (PAS) organized a presentation of the “Teaching Excellence and Achievement” (TEA) program. TEA provides international teachers with unique opportunities to develop expertise about their subject areas, enhance their teaching skills and increase their knowledge about the United States.
TEA presentation in Gyumri was held by U.S. Embassy Cultural/Education Specialist Hasmik Mikayelyan and PAS Assistant Rinet Isajyan. At the beginning Rinet presented the objectives and related technical details of the program. Hasmik continued the presentation with the composition of the program, requirements, and eligibility criteria. TEA Alumnus Aleksandr Shagafyan spoke about future opportunities for alumni small grants. At the end Hasmik answered the participants’ questions and distributed application forms.
Nearly 15 teachers from different public schools took part in the presentation. They raised a number of questions on how to develop a successful application package for the program.
