Resources
The Corners are small, American-style libraries created to help increase mutual understanding between Armenia and the United States by making available information about America in a variety of formats. Membership is free and open to the general public. Each American Corner features a diverse collection of English language books and materials about the United States and is similar to a public library reference service. All the American Corners are staffed by bilingual Armenian library personnel who will be available during regular library hours to assist patrons interested in specific information about the United States.
The collection includes reference books, works of fiction, and commercial and government publications. American Corners also provide computers with guided Internet access, as well as audio and video materials and CD-ROMs. The collection’s design includes support for information on English language instruction. It also includes student advising materials, links to university, admissions, and scholarship websites. American Corner also provides resources about doing business in the United States.
